The world’s best restaurants: the list of the second fifty of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants has been announced
The 51st to 100th places of this year’s extended ranking of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants have been published. The award ceremony of the prestigious international initiative, implemented with the support of the premium mineral water brands S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, will be held on June 20 in Valencia, where the top 50 winners of the list will also be announced. At this year’s 21st awards ceremony, restaurants from five continents will be presented. The entire ranking is compiled based on the votes of a panel of more than a thousand people, consisting of independent experts, internationally recognized chefs, gastronomic journalists and traveling gourmets.
The list includes 12 new restaurants from 11 different cities, from Quito and Panama City to Istanbul and Paris
Restaurants from 22 regions on five continents are represented The list includes 15 locations from Asia, 21 from Europe, six from North America, five from South America and three from the Middle East and Africa Among the newcomers, the most prestigious, 59th place, went to the Mérito restaurant in Lima.
We welcome three new entrants from South America, of which the Mérito restaurant in Lima achieved the most prestigious, 59th place. Among the competing restaurants in North America, there are no newcomers this year, among the returnees, Brooklyn’s Chef’s Table was the most successful in 61st place. The largest number of European restaurants made the list, and of the four new entrants, Enrico Barolini’s restaurant in Milan was the most successful with 85th place. The Middle East and North Africa joined the competition only last year, but this year the region was expanded again with a new entrant, Ossiano from Dubai (87th place). There were three newcomers among the 15 ranked restaurants in Asia, of which Nusara from Bangkok achieved a remarkable 74th place. A Tokyo restaurant, Narisawa, topped the 51-100 ranking list.
