The world's leading brands are keeping off Hungary
London, Paris and Moscow attract most of the top brands, these brands are only appearing at outstanding locations, which cannot be found in Hungary currently – told Jones Lang LaSalle international property consultant to MTI.
Jones Lang LaSalle analyzed the presence of 150 leading international retailers on 55 European markets. The analysis reveals that, while London is attracting the largest number of international retailers, the U.S.A. is exporting the most brands. 20 percent of the brands in Europe are from the United States
Currently, Hungary is not the primary target for international brands in the region. First of all, discount chains and lower and middle-class brands are looking for opportunities in Hungary, but most of them suspended their expansion for 6 to 12 months, because of the economic situation and due to the problems in the retail market.
