The competition office initiated proceedings against the manufacturer and distributor of the Regenera drink
The Hungarian Competition Authority (GVH) has launched an investigation against the manufacturer and distributor of Regenera’s revitalizing and anti-hangover drink, SSHS Group Kft., and Regenera Hungary Kft., because their advertisements are believed to have deceived consumers – the GVH informed MTI on Thursday -with.
According to the announcement, the competition office believes that the companies promoted the soft drink in national TV commercials and on the Internet with health claims that probably do not comply with the sectoral rules governing food.
They added: by violating the provisions on food advertising, the two companies presumably deceived consumers about the health effects of the product.
The initiation of the competition supervision procedure does not mean that the company has actually committed a violation of the rules, the companies have three months to clarify the facts, they said.
