The harvest in the Tokaj-Hegyalja wine region soon to be finished
The harvest soon to be finished in the Tokaj-Hegyalja historic wine region. This year, the quality of the grapes and the Aszú is outstamding. The region's largest grape purchaser and wine company, the state-owned Tokaj Trading House (TK) Ltd. is increasingly places quality in the focus.
Prácser Miklós, president of the Mountain Village Council of the Tokaji Wine Region told MTI on Wednesday, that on four fifths of the wine region harvest has completed. The entire harvest is expected to be finished for the weekend or early next week.
The expert said that the quality is outstanding. According to earlier estimates about 300-330 thousand tons of grapes will be harvested from the 5,800 hectares of lands. (MTI)
