The British supermarket chain Sainsbury's eco-shop opens in Gloucester, will use the kinetic energy of the cars of the customers to supply the supermarket with electricity.

The Sainsbury's placed tiles in the parking lot. These tiles will use the kinetic energy of the  cars and will send it into the store. These tiles can produce approximately 30 kW of energy per hour, which covers the electricity demand of the cash registers. In addition, other environmentally friendly solutions will be applied in the eco-shop: They will collect rainwater for toilet flushing, and in summer hot water will be provided by solar energy. The building will be constructed of recycled materials in 90 percent – reports Penzcentrum.hu.
