Coca-Cola reached slightly higher-than-expected profits in the second quarter, but the evolution of revenues caused a disappointment. In relation to this year's prospects the management became more pessimistic.
Coca-Cola reported about less revenues than the analysts expected. The company's revenue declined by 1 percent in the second quarter, compared to the same period of the previous year: This year it was 12.57 billion USD, while the analysts expected 12.83 billion USD. The volume of sales increased by 3 percent globally. In North America, sales were stagnant, while the international sales increased. (portfolio.hu)
