Danone’s revenue grew more than expected
Danone achieved a higher-than-expected income in the fourth quarter of last year, partly thanks to its higher prices, according to the financial report of the French food industry group published on Wednesday.
On a comparable basis, the company’s fourth quarter revenue increased by 7 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. The average of the analysts’ opinion was an increase of 6.2 percent. In the last three months of last year, the 7 percent annual increase in revenue calculated on a comparable basis was due to a 4.4 percent decrease in sales volume and an 11.3 percent increase in prices.
On a comparable basis, Danone’s 2022 revenue rose by 7.8 percent to 27.661 billion euros, after 24.281 billion in 2021.
