Retail sales in Germany declined more than expected in April
Retail sales in Germany fell more than expected from the previous month and grew less on an annual basis in April, according to the German Federal Statistical Office, Destatis.
In April, with price, seasonal and calendar adjustment, retail sales in Germany decreased by 5.5 percent from the previous month. The market expected a 2.0 percent decline after a 7.7 percent monthly increase in March. (MTI)
