In the United States, consumer prices increased more than expected in March
In the United States, consumer prices rose at a slightly stronger rate than expected in March, in year-on-year and month-on-month comparision.
The US Department of Labor announced on Wednesday that consumer pricesincreased by 1.9 percent year-on-year in March. Analysts expected 1.8 percent after the 1.5 percent in February.
In a monthly comparison, consumer prices increased by 0.4 percent to the greatest extent of the past 14 months. Analysts expected a 0.3 percent rise after the 0.2 percent in February. (MTI)
