Vajda-Papír Kft. acquired the majority share of the Norwegian factory belonging to the company group
Vajda-Papír Kft. has acquired the majority stake in Vajda-Papír Scandinavia AS, which has been part of the company group for more than 10 years, Attila Vajda, managing director of Vajda-Papír Kft., told MTI. The founder of Hungary’s leading toilet paper manufacturer also stated that the purpose of the transaction is to strengthen economic aspects, including the pursuit of simplification, increasing efficiency, and the creation of a large company structure.
Attila Vajda also informed that the company group successfully participated in the Hungarian government’s Factory Rescue subsidy program, from which Vajda-Papír Kft. won a HUF 5 billion 710 million 659 thousand subsidy. An advance of 1 billion 313 million 451 thousand 570 HUF was paid to the company at the end of December 2023 from the total amount of the support.
They added that Vajda Real Estate Kft. (bond guarantor) also successfully participated in the program, winning 5 billion 714 million 850 thousand forints of support, of which 2 billion 857 million 425 thousand forints were paid in advance at the end of December.
