The burden exemption of slaughterhouses may increase black trade
The Ministry of Rural Development would exempt slaughterhouses cutting less than 200 pigs and less than 75 cattle per week, from the mandatory after slaughter rating.
Seventy percent of the domestic slaughterhouses, would excempted from the mandatory after slaughter rating certification requirement.
The regulation is expected to take place in a month, but already several professional organizations criticized the idea, that would decrease the burdens of the small slaughterhouses. In their view, it would increase the black market in the meat sector, which is already estimated at around 30 percent – reports Penzcentrum.hu., after Magyar Hírlap.
