The producer price of broilers rose by almost 22 percent
According to AKI PÁIR data, the live weight producer price of slaughter chickens in Hungary rose by 21.8 percent to HUF 496.17/kilogram, and that of slaughter turkeys by 27.4 percent to HUF 683.37/kilogram in the first forty weeks of 2023 compared to the same period in 2022.
The price of whole chicken in Hungary increased by 21.1 percent to HUF 966/kilogram in the first forty weeks of 2023 compared to the previous year. According to AKI PÁIR data, the processing sales price of chicken breast fillets increased by 8 percent to HUF 1,954/kilogram, chicken thighs by 10.3 percent to HUF 909/kilogram, and the price of chicken breast (total) by 8 percent to HUF 1,925/kilogram, while bone-in chicken breast did not change significantly ( HUF 1,308/kilogram) in the first forty weeks of 2023 compared to the same period in 2022.
