Tourism is growing twice as fast as GDP
Tourism is the success of the Hungarian economy, which grew twice as fast as GDP in the last two years, Guller Zoltán, Managing Director of the Hungarian Tourism Agency (MTÜ) told on Wednesday at a press conference in Budapest.
In his opinion, Hungarian tourism will reach the level of Austrian tourism. He added that they are working to make the tourism industry’s contribution to the economy’s performance considerably, to reach 16 percent of GDP and to increase the 30 million guest nights a year to 50 million by 2030.
