The tourism sector also benefits from the support of energy-intensive SMEs
“In the first quarter of 2023, we will continue to support energy-intensive SMEs,” announced Minister of Economic Development Márton Nagy in his announcement on Tuesday.
The failed Brussels sanctions sent energy prices sky high, and entire industries were put at risk. In order to avoid a recession and to protect families and full employment, the government therefore launched the Energy Cost and Investment Support Program for Manufacturing SMEs on October 1, 2022, in which it supports the operational costs of enterprises with a frame amount of HUF 100 billion in 2022 and HUF 120 billion in 2023. cost increases and energy efficiency investments – the minister said.
In the framework of the program, non-refundable direct support can be used for the last 3 months of 2022 up to 50 percent of the energy cost increase. In addition, it is also possible to use a non-refundable subsidy of up to 15 percent for the part of the energy efficiency investment affected by the loan.
