The Ministry of Agriculture draws attention to conscious shopping and food safety
The Deputy Secretary of State responsible for food chain supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture (AM) called attention to conscious shopping during the holidays and the observance of food safety rules on the current channel M1 on Wednesday.
Olga Beáta Felkai said: In Hungary, there are few, 15-17 epidemic-like food-borne illnesses every year, and these also have a relatively favorable outcome.
At the same time, households tend to stock up during the Christmas period, so it is worth planning your purchases in advance and purchasing food from reliable places, he explained.
The deputy state secretary recalled that the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) compiled a refrigerator usage guide for Christmas in its No-Leave program to help store food safely and sustainably. Adequate refrigeration plays an important role in preserving food safety and reducing food waste, he pointed out.
