Egg market participants urges the reduction of VAT on eggs
According to the egg market participants, in addition to the to poultry and pork meat cuts, the VAT on eggs has to be reduced also.
In their opinion, a VAT rate below 10 percent could stop the industry’s breakdown and the expected consumption growth would likely to gain producing momentum again.
The egg market participants asked Rural Development Minister Fazekas Sándor in a letter, that the ministry should propose a VAT reduction on eggs to the government – the Poultry Products Council (BTT) told MTI on Thursday.
