Diageo and PET Cup are improving the waste situation in the Tisza source region
Approx. 10,000 tonnes of waste arrive from Ukraine and Romania on the Tisza, mainly due to the lack of adequate waste management systems in the upstream countries. The Tisza PET Cup, which is at the forefront of waste disposal, and Diageo, the world’s leading manufacturer and distributor of alcoholic beverages, have now teamed up to take joint action in Transcarpathia, the source of the problem. That is why the CALL-Action program was launched, in the framework of which waste management developments and river clean-up actions are carried out in Transcarpathia.
