Tesco introduces gin made from discarded grapes
Tesco’s new gin Hyke is special because it is made from discarded grapes. Hyke gin is the result of collaboration between the Kent-based fruit supplier Richard Hochfeld Ltd. and craft spirits producer Foxhole Spirits. Every year around 1.4 million baskets of table grapes are discarded during the packing process – revealed the supplier. The gin is to be sold exclusively at 300 Tesco stores from 18 March.
