Only 20 percent of the product fee is spent on waste management
The budget of the past five years clearly shows that that only 20 percent of the product fee is spent on waste management and the rest covers other expenses – mfor.hu wrote after Világgazdaság.
The Viággazdaság reminded that the law on product fees adopted in 2011 was born with the declared aim to finance the recovery of waste from that money and prevent and reduce environmental pollution. The government therefore increased the product fee to twofold since 2012 and changed the whole system of waste recycling. (Világgazdaság, mfor.hu)
