Dairy Product Board: tax reduction is required to help the sector
The Dairy Product Board said that in order to help the dairy sector the first and most important step is to reduce the VAT on drinking milk to 5 percent.
Mélykuti Tibor, president of the Milk Interprofessional Organization and Marketing Board told M1 news channel on Tuesday that the organization handed over a package of proposals in November last year. Mélykuti Tibor indicated that most of the consumer milk and dairy products are in the 18 percent VAT category, 27 percent VAT is only applied in case of dessert products. (MTI)
