The Milk Interprofessional Organization and Product Council welcomes the extension of the obligation to maintain the Community Marketing Fund
The Milk Trade Organization and Product Council welcomes the fact that the Minister of Agriculture has extended the obligation to maintain the Community Marketing Fund, which has been operating for 9 years now, for another three years, until December 31, 2026, to dairy market players who are not members of the Milk Product Council. Until December 31, 2026, the exact same financial contribution conditions apply to the Community Marketing Fund as for processors and traders who are members of the interprofessional organization.
• milk processors operating in Hungary, as well as wholesale or retail milk sector players, must pay a marketing contribution to the Community Marketing Fund operated by our interprofessional organization,
• the amount of the marketing contribution is half a thousandth of the payer’s net sales from the distribution of milk and milk products in the calendar year preceding the current year,
• instead of paying the marketing contribution, the legal use of the trademark family of the interprofessional organization (and the payment of the trademark usage fee) can also be chosen.
