The milk will be the first Hungarian GMO-free food
The milk will be a GMO-free food by replacing imported feed soy – Nagy István, Parliamentary Minister of State of the Ministry of Agriculture (FM) announced in Hajdúböszörmény on Friday.
He added that to replace the 700-750 thousand tons of soy import Hungary needs a new protein program.
The Ministry of Agriculture (FM) will develop the feed in its research institutes. It is expected that it can replace soy even next year. It can also make the milk production cheaper – the Minister of State explained at the Portfolio East Hungarian Agricultural Forum organized within the Hajdúsági Expo. (MTI)
