The main sugar beet growing areas are in Southern Transdanubia (39.6 percent), Western Transdanubia (19.6 percent), Central Transdanubia (17.5 percent) and the Southern Great Plain (15.4 percent). away.

The planned sweet corn sowing area is 23.6 thousand hectares, and that of green peas is 15.4 thousand hectares. The farmers carried out the planned spring agricultural work to the greatest extent (around 100 percent) in the case of red onions and green peas. The total planned sowing area of watermelons and pumpkin grafted melons is 2.9 thousand hectares, which is mainly concentrated in the counties of Békés and Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg. According to reports, 91.6 percent of sowing was completed by mid-May.
