Soil preparation work is more favorable compared to last year
According to the operational reports for the date of November 12, the planned area of autumn crops this year is 1.5 million hectares, and soil preparation has been completed on 100 percent of the area. According to the NAK survey, the planned area of spring crops is 1.7 million hectares, for which soil preparation work is more favorable compared to last year, at 38.8 percent.

The sowing of autumn cereals was planned on 1.3 million hectares, and sowing was completed on 99.6 percent of the planned area by November 12. The work completed was almost or completely completed compared to the plan: the sowing of autumn barley was 100 percent, the sowing of winter wheat was 99.1 percent, and the sowing of triticale was 97.7 percent. In the case of durum wheat, the ratio was 99.1 percent. Winter rye was planned to be sown on 37.4 thousand hectares, and the work had been completed by the date of the report. According to NAK information, the planned sowing area of winter wheat (excluding durum wheat) is 5.2 percent smaller than last year, 922.4 thousand hectares, of which work was completed on 914.2 thousand hectares.
The rate of sowing of triticale is slightly lower than last year, while that of other cereals is progressing in line with the previous year
Farmers planned to sow winter rapeseed on almost the same area as last year, 183.9 thousand hectares, this season, and by November 12, they were already nearing the end of the work. The sunflower harvest was completely completed by November, 100 percent of the sown area was harvested, and 1.7 million tons of sunflower were harvested from a total of 679.5 thousand hectares. The sunflower yield nationwide was around 2.5 tons/hectare. The lowest average yield was reported from Csongrád-Csanád county (1.8 tons/hectare), the highest from Tolna and Hajdú-Bihar counties (3 tons/hectare).
