In the first 11 months of last year, retail sales in Romania increased by 2.2 percent
Retail sales in Romania increased by 2.2 percent in the first 11 months of 2023, the National Institute of Statistics (INS) announced on Monday.
Between January 1 and November 30 of last year, retail sales in Romania increased by 2.2 percent according to raw data, and by 2.3 percent according to calendar-adjusted data compared to the same period of the previous year.
The raw data show that sales from food, beverages and tobacco increased by 3.5 percent, while non-food products grew by 4 percent. There was a 3.7 percent decrease in the distribution of fuels.
According to calendar-adjusted data, food, beverages and tobacco increased by 3.3 percent, while non-food products grew by 4.1 percent, while fuel sales fell by 3.1 percent.
