It is also possible to improve soil life from the air
A cooperation agreement was signed by MATE Tanggazdaság Nonprofit Kft., ABZ Drone Kft. and Bio-Nat Kft., the manufacturer and distributor of Mikro-Vital products. According to this, an experiment will be carried out for the first time in Europe, during which a microbiological product will be applied with the help of drones.
Nowadays, agriculture uses the possibilities provided by drones more and more widely, on the one hand for monitoring purposes, and on the other hand to facilitate application. Common parlance mainly refers to spraying drones, which are still mostly used by specialists for plant protection purposes. However, these tools can also serve as an innovative tool in nutrient supply, a narrower but more effective tool of which can be the use of microbiological products. “The application of microbiological products with a targeted device can be implemented even in the early stages of soil treatment and soil inoculation, when the area cannot be accessed with work machines. However, this also requires a preparation that is resistant to the adversities of abiotic factors. Such is one of our leading products, the widely applicable MV-Supary, whose resistance is due to endosporic bacteria. The purpose of the new collaboration is, among other things, to examine the use of these products on a scientific basis, within an experimental framework, in the case of arable and horticultural crops,” Péter Umenhoffer, the company manager of Bio-Nat Kft., pointed out. “As an outsourced innovation workshop of MATE’s Szent István Security Research Center, it is extremely important for us that thanks to the experience gained from the experiment, through our training, we can share instructions and knowledge with which drone application can be carried out safely and with maximum efficiency”, emphasized Gyula Török, ABZ Drone Kft. .’s managing director. He added: ABZ Drone Kft. can obtain all official permits and licenses necessary for the legal application of foliar fertilizers, plant conditioners and microbiological preparations by spraying drone. In addition, the most modern technology and drone pilot colleagues with thousands of hours of flight experience are also provided for joint research.

“Every year, 4-5,000 students complete their professional internships in the areas of our educational institution, to whom we want to show the most modern technologies so that they can enter the labor market with up-to-date knowledge. The primary location of our present collaboration will be in Gödöllő, at the MATE Plant Growing and Biomass Utilization Demonstration Center, but we plan to involve other areas as well,” emphasized Bence Sziráki, managing director of MATE Tanggazdaság Nonprofit Kft.
