The producer price of fodder corn increased by nearly 40 percent
In Hungary, according to AKI PÁIR data, edible wheat was traded at an average producer price of HUF 78.4 thousand per ton without VAT and transport costs in the first week of October. This price level was almost 21 percent higher than a year earlier.
Feed wheat traded for HUF 71.2 thousand/ton (+15 percent) at the same time. Feed corn changed hands at an average producer price of HUF 76.6 thousand/ton in the first week of October, which exceeded the previous year by 39 percent.
On the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME/CBOT), the December quotation for wheat fluctuated in the range of $215-$226/ton between September 30 and October 11
At the same time, the December settlement price of the crop on the Paris commodity exchange (Euronext/MATIF) was between 222 and 234 euros/ton. On the Budapest Stock Exchange, the November listing of ISCC NUTS II sustainable fodder corn was unchanged at HUF 75,000/ton between September 30 and October 11, and on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, the December listing of corn was in the range of $164-170/ton. At the same time, the November settlement price of the crop on the Paris commodity exchange fluctuated between 209 and 216 euros/ton.
