The short-stemmed black cherry from Szomolya has also been protected in the EU
The European Commission has approved the inclusion of the Szomolya short-stemmed black cherry in the list of protected designations of origin, the EU commission said.
According to the information provided by the Commission, the protection extends to fresh-edged fruits of the short-stemmed black and honey black landscape varieties of cherries in and around Szomolya and to the state-recognized variety of Szomolya black. (MTI)
