The power of colours in selling products
The moment of truth: the shopper is standing in front of the shelves and makes a decision. Will it be your product that they put in their basket or your competitor’s? It really matters a lot whether your product can stand out from the crowd. Product packaging is key as regards in-store visibility. A well-designed offering box attracts shopper attention, but often these boxes represent a compromise between product protection, logistics and marketing considerations.
The good news is that by using offset printing technology what you get is vivid colours, perfect image quality and a smooth surface. It is true that flexo printing is cheaper, but if you want shoppers to notice your product in-store, offset printing is the better choice. Offset printed offering boxes, which project an air of sophistication and quality, can multiply the selling capacity of average packaging solution.
Marketing communication is going in the direction of personalised messages, so products appear on store shelves with a growing number of graphic design variants. By using offset printing technology, modifying the packaging design of a product is much cheaper than in the case of flexo printing.
Some advantages of the offset technology: / perfect print quality, vivid colours, graphical solutions rich in detail / cost-efficiency in the case of several product versions – even if the number of items is relatively low (high mix – low volume) / lower graphical costs than with flexo / short manufacturing times / a wide range of sizes / premium look / on demand FSC-certified papers and cardboards
