SZÉP card holders are more satisfied with their employers
In Hungary 54.8 percent of employees obtain some kind of cafeteria benefit – more than 2 percentage points more than in 2012. A representative 1,000-person survey commissioned by OTP Bank also revealed that the most popular from these is the SZÉP card. Tamás Gál, the head of cafeteria services at OTP Bank reckons that the growth has to do with the system’s stable character, which makes planning easier for both employees and employers. The survey found that 63 percent of OTP SZÉP card holders are satisfied with their employers – among non-SZÉP card holders this proportion is only 41 percent. HUF 153 billion was uploaded to 795,000 OTP SZÉP cards since the scheme started back in 2011. Card holders have already used HUF 130 billion worth of services.
