The Hungarian Hotel and Restaurant Association welcomes the reduction of VAT on restaurant services
The Hungarian Hotel and Restaurant Association (MSZÉSZ) welcomes the proposed VAT reduction on catering services. It can reduce prices and will help to maintain the workforce as well as will increase the competitiveness of businesses – Niklai Ákos, president of the MSZÉSZ told MTI on Wednesday.
Varga Mihály told MTI on Wednesday that in next year's budget the VAT on pork, milk, eggs and poultry products will be reduced to 5 percent, but the sales tax on Internet usage and food services will be reduced as well. The latter will be reduced from 27 percent to 18 percent in 2017 and may be further reduced to 5 percent in 2018. (MTI)
