Swiss dairy company Emmi has bought US feta cheese company Athenos from Lactalis Group for an undisclosed sum. This step will help Emmi to strengthen its position in the US market and create new export opportunities for Swiss cheese via its strengthened distribution. In 2020 Athenos produced net sales of about USD 90 million.
