New SPAR supermarket opened in Debrecen

The SPAR Hungary Ltd. opened a new SPAR supermarket on 12th November 2009 in Debrecen. The new store is the city's seventh SPAR unit. Six Spar supermarkest and one Interspar hypermarkets are in Debrecen.

Spar’s main task for 2009 was the convertion of the 177 Plus stores into SPAR supermarkets. Spar succeeded with the convertion until the end of August. Beside this, SPAR continued its expansion and greenfield investments. The new, modern Debrecen Spar supermarket opened in the course of this, creating 28 new jobs with the investment. SPAR has a total of 400 stores in Hungary.
