The SPAR has continued to grow in 2009
In spite of the difficult economic circumstances, SPAR Group's annual consolidated turnover was 397.3 billion HUF last year. This amount is a 6.2 percent increase, compared to the previous year – includes the company's communication.
In 2009, the company has further increased its market share, which makes up 14 percent, within the FMCG sector.
Last year, the transformation of the 177 Plus units into Spar businesses has ended, so the Plus brand name disappeared from Hungary. Two Interspars and 5 Spars were built in 2009, establishing new jobs.
