The turnover of convenience products in SPAR stores is increasing year by year, since the pandemic, the demand for them has increased by almost 50%. The proportion of convenience consumers among frequent customers exceeds 20 percent, according to research, the majority of convenience product buyers are in the 19-39 age group. They like delicious, homemade flavors, but they don’t want to cook, but what is in the food they eat is important to them.
SPAR enjoy. The company built the convenience plant as part of a green field investment with about HUF 1.2 billion. The 1,500-square-meter plant, handed over in 2018 and meeting the highest food safety requirements, supplies the SPAR network with more than 60 products. In practice, this means that 4 tons of mayonnaise salad and 20,000 sandwiches are delivered to stores across the country every day.
