Spar expanded its store network with an investment of 1.7 billion forints
Spar Hungary has modernized three of its new stores, with a total of almost 1.7 billion forints spent on the renovation of the stores in Kőszeg, Esztergom and Törökszentmiklós.
The Kőszeg store was renovated with an investment of approximately 640 million forints, and the store provides jobs for 20 people. 471.5 million forints were spent on the modernization of the Esztergom supermarket, and the store also means the preservation of 18 jobs. The Törökszentmiklós department store was modernized with an investment of 550.4 million forints, and 14 employees work in the store.
Spar Hungary intends to remain an active player in domestic retail in the future, continuing to build its national network with modern and sustainable stores – it was announced.
Spar Hungary achieved gross sales of almost 1,112 billion forints in 2024, which is 4.8 percent more than the previous year. At the end of last year, the Spar network included 652 stores of various formats, and the number of employees exceeded 17,000.
