Budapest Metropolitan University students worked on the marketing challenges of SPAR’s 16 Hungarian suppliers
This spring, the SPAR Supplier Academy was also included in the curriculum of the Budapest Metropolitan University. In the past six months, the students of the university were able to work on the real marketing problems of small entrepreneurs participating in two popular supplier development programs of SPAR.
The SPAR Hungary Supplier Academy has supported and helped Hungarian food industry producers and entrepreneurs up until now. This year, however, a new channel was added: suppliers participating in the company’s Hungaricool and Régiók Kincsei programs could already ask for marketing advice from the students of the Metropolitan University of Budapest: the applicants could present the marketing challenges and problems that their company is currently facing.
“The majority of our supplier partners participating in our programs are in the same situation: they are faced with a large-scale business decision that may affect the future of the company and the brand, so the professional advice will definitely come in handy for them”
– said Attila Tollas, SPAR Hungary’s regional procurement team leader, who worked with marketing, full-time and correspondence students on the challenges of 16 different companies at the university lectures.
