The world of private labels is moving to Amsterdam again – interview with Peggy Davies, President of PLMA
PLMA’s 2025 World of Private Label trade fair is once again welcoming manufacturers and distributors of private label products to Amsterdam. The event will be held on a larger scale than ever before: more than 3,100 exhibitors, 75 countries, 15 thematic halls and a comprehensive professional program await participants. Peggy Davies, President of the Private Label Manufacturers Association, spoke to Trade magazin about the event.
In your view, what makes PLMA 2025 stand out?

Peggy Davies, PLMA president
This year, we’re excited to welcome the highest number of exhibitors and buyers to date, creating a vibrant atmosphere brimming with energy and dynamic business conversations across the trade show floor. With a strong focus on emerging private label trends and innovative products in sustainability, health, and convenience, PLMA provides the ultimate platform to cultivate and build valuable business relationships.
What can we expect from this year’s trade show?
The trade show floor is divided into 9 Food and 5 Non-Food halls, with 3,100+ companies from over 75 countries showcasing their latest private label offerings, making it a truly global event. On Monday, May 19, the day before the trade show, we also offer a seminar program and workshops focussing on Navigating Trends, Market Insights, and Innovation in Private Label, as well as Building Strategic Partnerships & Navigating Modern Procurement for Long-Term Success. All registered visitors and exhibitor personal are invited to attend.
What networking opportunities does PLMA offer to help buyers connect with exhibitors?
PLMA organizes one of the most efficient trade shows globally. We provide retailers with an online matchmaking service, PLMA Matchmaker, to schedule appointments with exhibitors ahead of the event. That said, I would also recommend setting aside time to explore the aisles and get inspired by the impressive range of private label products on display.
How do you see the future of private label evolving in the next years in view of shifting consumer behaviours and market trends?
Private label has always been closely aligned with evolving consumer behaviours, and this trend will only continue. As consumers increasingly prioritize healthy eating, convenient meal solutions, and sustainable products, private labels are uniquely positioned to respond swiftly. Whether it is developing healthier options, eco-friendly cleaning products, or time-saving food solutions, private label offers retailers the agility to stay ahead of the curve and keep pace with changing consumer preferences.
Why should I come to Amsterdam and visit the trade show?
This is an easy question, PLMA’s World of Private Label Trade Show in Amsterdam is the go-to event for anyone involved in private label, whether you are in manufacturing, procurement, or retail. It is where business happens, relationships are strengthened, and innovation comes to life. The show offers the ideal mix for success: discovering trends, uncovering new developments, and
connecting with like-minded professionals. But don’t just take my word for it, experience it for yourself. I’m confident it will be an unforgettable and valuable event you won’t want to miss.
