Romanians eating, drinking and smoking more
The volume of Romanian retail sales grew by 7.4 percent in the first ten months of this year, compared to the same period of the last year – the Romanian national statistical institute announced on Thursday.
The 17.1 percent increase was mainly due to the sales of food, beverage and tobacco products. Fuel sales rose by 5.8 percent, while the sales of non-food products by 0.9 percent. According to the The adjusted value, the volume of retail sales increased by 6.9 percent in the first ten months, compared to last year's similar period. (MTI)
