The new BURGER KING® restaurant opened in the Pólus Center
BURGER KING® has expanded its domestic network with a new unit: it opened its 61st restaurant in the food court of Pólus Center, which is the realization of a long-planned development by Fusion Befektetési Zrt. The new restaurant will provide employment opportunities for nearly 30 people, including students, and will welcome guests from all corners of the city.
Pólus Center is not only one of the most well-known shopping centers in Budapest, but also an outstanding location due to its location, because there was no BURGER KING® restaurant in the densely populated area of the 15th district, including Újpalota. The new unit not only makes fire-grilled classics available to the residents of the area, but also offers new gastronomic options to the wide customer base of Pólus.
The new restaurant bears the hallmarks of the well-known, clean “Pavilion” design. The modern exterior faithfully conveys the atmosphere surrounding the brand, while the design perfectly matches the characteristics of the shopping center’s food court. The internal service area also includes a two-story, 210 square meter unit that effectively supports the back-end processes.
Pólus Center has always been an important location for Fusion, but the right opportunity only arrived in 2023. “Budapest’s 15th district plays a key role in our development strategy, and we are delighted that we were finally able to implement our project with the features and accessibility provided by Pólus Center,” said László Sümegi, President of Fusion Investment Co., Ltd. “Our goal is to make BURGER KING® even more accessible to Budapest residents and to be present in locations where the brand can truly fill a gap.”
The fast service of guests is facilitated by 2 wall-mounted, touch-screen Kiosks, which allow for simple and quick ordering so that they can enjoy their favorite fire-grilled burgers as soon as possible. Construction work began in early January 2025 and was completed in just three months, thanks to the active work of nearly 50 people.
