Co-op partners with PayPal to offer more online payment options
Co-op has partnered with digital payment provider, PayPal to offer additional choice for shoppers when paying for groceries online.
PayPal is now available as a payment opition for purchases of online home delivery orders and click and collect via Co-op’s online shop.
The move looks to make paying for groceries more efficient for shoppers, without having to enter credit card or financial details.
However, other payment methods including Google Pay, Apple Pay, Mastercard and Visa will continue to be available through the convenience retailers online shop.
“We are continually looking for new ways to innovate and meet the needs of our Members and customers, and developing quick, convenient and flexible options online is a core part of our approach,” Co-op head of payments, Paul Fletcher said.
“Our work with PayPal will now offer additional payment options which are simple, safe, secure and, trusted by millions of UK shoppers, offering further online choice for time-pressed consumers however they choose to shop with us.”
PayPal UK managing director, Vincent Belloc added: “PayPal has 32 million active accounts in the UK, and is trusted by shoppers who buy, sell, and send money—without sharing their financial information.
