Couples plan their finances together
More than half of those living in a relationship, 57 percent, live in a joint bank account with their partner, approximately the same proportion of partners also have a joint bank account – it was revealed from a representative research commissioned by Magyar Bankholding, which was informed to MTI on Tuesday.
It was highlighted in the press release: 49 percent of the couples participating in the research do not prepare a family budget at all, 22 percent calculate in advance on a monthly basis, while only 4 percent of the population plans for more than a year.
56 percent of those surveyed do not keep records of their income and expenses in writing, while those who keep track of their finances use paper-based and computer-based solutions in the same proportion.
According to the survey, 36 percent of women would like their partner to plan their finances better, and 33 percent would encourage their partner to save; for men, this ratio is 47 percent and 45 percent.
