The average producer price of raw milk fell by 20 percent in one year
In August 2023, the producer price of raw milk in national currency decreased by 17 percent in the European Union, by 18 percent in the USA, and by 27 percent in New Zealand compared to a year earlier.

According to AKI PÁIR data, the national average producer price of raw milk in Hungary was HUF 153.57/kilogram in September 2023. In addition to the improvement of the protein content by 0.06 percentage points and the fat content by 0.03 percentage points, as well as the stagnation of the base price, the average price of raw milk rose by 1 percent in September 2023 compared to August 2023, and was 20 percent below the average price of the same month of the previous year. According to KSH data, pasteurized ESL milk with 2.8 and 1.5 percent fat, sour cream with 12 percent fat (-2 percent respectively), canned UHT milk with 2.8 percent fat, sour cream with 20 percent fat , the consumer price of fruit yogurt (-3 percent respectively) and Trappist block cheese (-5 percent) decreased in September 2023 compared to the data of one month earlier.
