Dismissal at eBay, despite profitability

eBay’s revenue and profit also in the last quarter of 2014. Despite the favorable financial data, the company announced that it would lay off 2,400 of its employeees.

The company's revenue in the fourth quarter increased by 8.6 percent on an annual basis, reaching 4.92 billion USD. The company’s net profit increased by 10.1 percent to 936 million USD.
