Due to language difficulties, travelers insist on the convenience of popular tourist destinations
Samsung’s latest research shows that 72% of European vacationers[2] say that they would enjoy their vacation abroad much more if they could communicate better and without problems with the locals. As a solution, Samsung encourages travelers to put Galaxy AI to the test on their next adventure.
The research reveals that more than a third of Europeans (35%) struggle to ask for directions and understand local customs (29%) during their travels, and even order food (26%) – half of travelers ( 50%) admit to pointing at the menu in such cases.
The research also found that people stick to established tourist attractions because of language difficulties: almost three quarters (72%) of Europeans indicated that they would discover even more hidden treasures and real local attractions during their travels if they could communicate better with the locals, and a quarter of them (25%) admitted that they don’t visit their bucket list destinations because they don’t speak the local language.
The Live Translation[3] and Interpreter[4] Galaxy AI functions can easily provide a solution to all of this. With the help of Tolmács, we can talk to the locals in specific languages, so that we can discover exciting places that only they know about. On the new Galaxy Z Flip6, we can use the new conversation mode, with which both parties can conveniently view the translations on the main and cover screens, so that we can communicate easily. With the help of Live Translation, we can even make our reservations over the phone, following our itinerary – from local restaurant reservations to the organization of excursions.
