People’s anger overtook pharmacies and merchants
Recently, there have been countless outrageous comments in social media stating that face masks are almost on the verge of being unaffordable. Inexplicable shoppers, public figures scoff at pharmacies and merchants for offering masks and hygiene products at ten times (often twenty times) the price, although the stores in Hungary are not responsible for the price increase.
The well-known performer Majka outraged on his Facebook page for buying 100 surgical face masks for 38,000 forints and blaming the pharmacy for the price increase. With this half-information, he pushed his half-million-plus follow-up camp against decent pharmacies and merchants. “Retail prices are so high because dealers are already getting products from suppliers at this elevated price level,” – Nagy Gábor, managing director of SzerszamKell.hu said.
