Nébih contacts the farmers involved in the eGN data reconciliation
Farming logs could be uploaded to the eGN system of the National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) until midnight on February 15. More than 100,000 farmers recorded more than 10 million pieces of data in the system by the deadline. In the following days, the office will individually, electronically, contact those concerned who, based on the submitted data, need further data reconciliation in connection with the 2023 management diary. It will be possible to check it in eGN until March 14. Nébih is currently analyzing the data received in eGN.
After that, in the following days, he will contact the farmers who need further data reconciliation by e-mail. The office will ask those concerned to log into the system and check the data in their management log, and any gaps will be filled. It is extremely important that the data corresponding to the chosen support program is included in the database, for example the support titles, while in the case of the AKG and ÖKO programs, a nutrient management plan and a properly completed spraying log must also be uploaded to the system. The latter obligation also applies to AÖP programs. It is important that data reconciliation is only required for those whom Nébih contacts via e-mail. In their case, it will be possible to negotiate until midnight on March 14, 2024. Those who do not receive such a request this week do not need to register at the office.
Being a complex and new system, regrettable errors and difficulties also occurred during the introduction of the eGN system
Nébih would also like to thank the stakeholders for their patience and understanding, as well as for the many feedbacks and questions that helped the work and the further development of the system. In summary, it can be said that 93% of those concerned fulfilled the obligation to provide data required by law by the deadline. The data of more than 100,000 farmers entered the system, and they created about 150,000 diaries for the two farming years concerned. The system received more than 4 million agrotechnical operations, almost 2.7 million plant protection treatments and 1.1 million nutrient supply data.
The development of eGN will continue in the future
The electronic collection of management log data related to support programs is a European Union goal, and keeping an electronic spraying log will also be an EU requirement in the near future. With the introduction of eGN, our country took a big step in order to be able to meet the EU’s expectations on time. We believe that eGN, as part of the Digital Agricultural Strategy, will contribute to increasing the profitability and efficiency of agricultural production in the future by facilitating the collection and processing of information.
