The NAK does not support the public health product tax extension
The National Association of Agricultural Economics (NAK) does not support the extension of the public health product tax (NETA) – the NAK told MTI on Monday.
According to the National Association of Agricultural Economics (NAK), the food taxes and contributions of the Hungarian food industry are still far higher than the costs of the European competitors, and in recent years the degree of these contributions significantly increased further.
As a result, the Hungarian consumer can buy food products with higher tax content than the EU average. Therefore, the public health product tax should be reduced – the NAK explains. (MTI)
