With the help of its partners, the National Chamber of Agrarian Economy (NAK) presented the job and further education opportunities inherent in agricultural professions to nearly four thousand elementary school students.

NAK considers the promotion of agricultural and food industry professions and professional ratios, informing young people choosing a career, their parents and teachers, as well as facilitating enrollment in agricultural vocational training institutions, to be a priority task of NAK.

After the summer “Professional taster” career orientation program weeks, NAK again organized its fall career orientation program series in the fall of 2024

In this case, the agricultural vocational training institutions and – in the case of the agricultural mechanic and agricultural mechanical technician professions – MEGFOSZ were the contributing partners of the chamber. The series of programs popularized agricultural vocational training throughout all counties, the 6-7-8. among primary school students, their parents and teachers. Within the framework of the series of programs, between September 18 and November 5, 2024, nearly 4,000 participants (general school students, parents, teachers) were given an insight into the lives of 52 agricultural vocational training institutions and 50 farmers on 52 occasions nationwide. During the program days, mainly – but not exclusively – high schools maintained by the Ministry of Agriculture involved in agricultural vocational training and their educational farms, agricultural and food industry farmers participating in dual training, visits to plants, and presentations of agricultural professions took place. For students who are about to choose a career, the professional days gave them the opportunity to get involved in the work processes and get to know the professional activities. When implementing the programs, it was an important aspect to get to know the agricultural professions and professional ratios in an experience-based, active and active form.
