Top-100 Hungarian Companies are Less Optimistic
The ECOSTAT TOP-100 business confidence index was 86,6% at SME's 79,4% in January 2008.
Hungarian companies are looking to
the future with a degree of apprehension, according to the stats.
Businesses believe the internal factors determining corporate
performance may improve moderately next year compared with 2007,
however the overall situation may be less than ideal due to the
negative impact of fiscal consolidation measures. In the export
industries, the external market environment is expected to be less
favourable than in recent years, with global slowdown adversely
impacting demand for products and services.
